Price Of Clomid Resource in Questions
If Clomid and IUI fails any other treatments available for roughly the same price as IUI and Clomid? If 100 mg of Clomid and IUI fails for me, and my b/f any other suggestions for us? IVF is a little expensive and we want to save it as our last resort. Thanks!

Baby Hannah due 9/23 replied: "Well don't give up hope yet! My husband and I did 7 rounds of Climod and IUI's before becoming pregnant. But to answer your question, our next step was going to have to be IVF treatments... Good Luck!"

Can someone please tell me if Clomid's price really increased 100%? I took Clomid last year and it only cost 100pHp, yesterday, I bought 5 tablets and it already cost 263pHp. I was so surprised because it increased way over 100% over just a year or it was just a mistake. I don't have time to go out yet to check other pharmacies about this. Thanks in advance.

Ri replied: "Im not to sure, im about to go on it myself and really hope not!! Hope someone can help you with you answer (im from Australia so I would find out for you if i could). Sorry that didn't help at all. TTC 2.5 years"

sexy_beauty_78 replied: "I'm not sure where you are from, but here in the U.S it has not changed. I just got a pre ion filled for 100mg at Target a few days ago and it was still only $18.00"

LOST IN LOVE replied: "it the U.S it is only 9 dollars i just got my fill and thats all i payed"

ttc#1 on to round 2 of clomid replied: "mines was only twenty dollars and i got two months worth"

Clomid-price? And how often? Can anyone tell me the price(without insurance, mine doesn't cover it & I live in Louisinana) and how do you take, how many pills a month, and is it at a certain time. I am 37 and getting pg for the 2nd time after using depo-provera for 6 months. My OB is putting me on Clomid, I assume for my age and because of problems with the depo. Any help is appreciated.

Heather replied: "I am in Georgia and in my 30's as well it cost me 27.00 per month and I take 5 pills cycle days 3-7. Good Lucl"

HONEYB1 replied: "It is on average $3-$5 per 50 mg pill. I took 100 mg per day (so 2 pills once a day) for 5 days (days 5-9 of my cycle) and it was around $35 including tax. Our insurance doesn't pay either. Call different pharmacies to get a price because I have heard some people have paid close to $10 a pill. I found that our localy owned pharmacy was cheaper than CVS (chain pharmacy). So just check around. I guess if you start at the 50 mg it will cost even less. It is usually taken days 3-7 or days 5-9. Your doctor will determine what is best for you."

holly p replied: "i am in Mississippi and i am 24 and i took it 5days out of a month days 5-9 and it cost me 25.00 dollars for mine"

dulcitamija replied: "Well I just recently seen a commercial for wal-mart that has some pre ions for $4... I just recently took my 1st round of clomid and filled it at my local wal-mart.. After all was said and done I paid $45 on my presciptions.. one was the $4 clomid and $40 for my prenat. vitamins... Not as much as I thought it would be... Try calling all your local pharmacys and price around.. Would be your best bet... 50 mg on the 3rd day of your prd and continue taking it til the last day which is usually day 7, you take 5 pills once a month unless you have to take 100mg then its 10 pills twice a day.. You should try to take it at the same time everyday...."

angel eyes replied: "Do you have a Wal-Mart in your area 50mg of clomid is $9.00 for 5 pills. All you need is 5 pills and you need to take it at the same time every day for it to work you start taking while your on you period but it depends on your doctor on what days she wants to start you on.Some doctors have you on days 3 to 7 or 5 to 9days which this means the 1st day of flow blown red bleeding is your 1st day of your period also cycle day 1 so when your on cycle day 3 you start the clomid you take one pill a day and you'll take your last pill on cycle day 7 the same for 5 to 9 days but you start it on cycle day 5 and end it on cycle day 9.your doctor should have explain this to you when she prescribe it for you. When taking clomid you should use ovulation test or Basel body temp to make sure your ovulating on it cause if you don't ovulate on by the 2nd or 3rd round of clomid your doctor should or might rise your dose.Good luck to you,and lots of ***~**~*BABY DUST***~**~* to you! Here is a link to Wal-Mart price for clomid it is the generic brand it is called CLOMIPHENE"

TTC now for over a year, thinking about clomid and other treatments? We are TTC and are just starting the process meeting with doctors and getting all the testing done. For those of you that have or are dealing with this, what is the average price of clomid if they put me on it? Health Advantage doesn't cover anything to do with fertility, we are on our own. Laporscopy (sp?) next week, cleaning off my PCO. Will he still need to have his sperm check if he's already had children?

wolf replied: "Clomid costs $10,000 a cycle. Invitro also costs $10,000 a cycle and not all insurance companies cover infertilty testing or treatments. Check with your health insurance provider before going and getting tested. Have some money saved up to pay the bills if your insurance won't cover it."

sarah jane replied: "Clomid does NOT cost $10,000 a cycle. I am not sure how much it is, but it might be about $50 a month, depending on the dose they put you on. I am fortunate enough to only have to pay the co-pay, which for me is $10. Lots of women pay out of pocket- it is not that expensive."

mommy_2_liam replied: "Clomid is just a pill that you take for 5 days each month. You are probably looking at $50.oo per month...when you get into IVF and other things its going to be way mroe money. Get your Dr to send you for a HSG (hysterosalpinogram) to look for blockages...sometimes t can push minor blockages out of the way. Get hubby in for a semen analysis as well...do the cheap things first."

Prickle's Back! replied: "i'm glad to hear you are being so proactive. please ask them to check your thyroid. many women have undiagnosed hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism and this further complicates TTC efforts. also, make sure they do a sperm analysis on your husband. whatever the case, the price of clomid varies. with no insurance coverage, walmart pharmacies tend to have the cheapest prices. when i was in between jobs and without health insurance, a few years ago i went to walmart on one occasion when i needed an industrial strength antibiotic for salmonella poisoning; and their price was significantly less than the other pharmacies. IUI's (in utero inseminations) aren't covered by most insurance plans and they are *relatively* affordable (in contracts to IVF!!!); IUI will run between $250 to $400 depending upon where you live. keep us posted. loads of baby dust"

kel06 replied: "I was on 50mg of Clomid in Feb. and conceived on my first round. I got mine at walmart and it was only 9.00 for the 5 pills at 50mgs each. I also took Metformin along with the Clomid. If you are put on Clomid you will have blood work done on certain days of your cycle. When I had my blood work done it showed that the Clomid did NOT make me ovulate. So, I went back to the Dr. for my increased dose, and i was PREGNANT....They told me that I had just ovulated late. That was my problem before, i WASN'T ovulating. So, These medications done wonders for me! I'm currently a little over 11wks. pregnant and everything looks wonderful. I've had 3 ultrasounds and it's growing so fast!!!!! Goodluck to you if you are put on the Clomid."

~~ Angie~~ replied: "Clomid does not cost 10,000! I paid about $30.00 per cycle!"

LauraLu replied: "I pay about $55-60 for Clomid 50mg. This is expensive, but it works! I got pregnant the first month! If you do a little research, you can find the data and success stories on Clomid. My fertility doctor told me that she expects 75% of women to be pregnant within 3 months on Clomid and about 80% in 6 months. It is a lot of money (especially on top of all of the other expenses involved) but it is worth it! Good luck!"

Clomid!?!? Can anyone on Clomid tell the price range for this? And the process of how it works and what you do? My husband and I have been trying to concieve for over a year now. I started going to a ob/gyn 2 months ago. He's pretty sure I'm not ovulating. I am having to record my cycle and I go back In 2 1/2 weeks . After he does some more testing If he's pretty sure he'll put me on Clomid or Something else to help us concieve. Besides clomid what other alternative are out there? What is the process and price range??

peachyt144 replied: "I was on Clomid for 6 cycles. It works very well. Its one of the cheapest fertility treatments there are out there. My pills were 40 dollars. For a cycle supply. Not bad at all. I would give these a try for a couple of cycles before you look for something else. They work very well and most likely you will ovulate in the first 3 cycles. So try it and see if you are happy with it. Most Dr. will tell you to start this pill either days 3-7 or 2-6 or 5-9. The days dont really matter as far as when you start, its basically just whatever the Dr. is used to perscribing it as. You take 1 pill everyday for 5 days, then anywhere from 7-14 days later you will ovulate. You will most likely feel the ovulation occur. I always got some mild pain in my right or left side of my pelvis, and my breast hurt. But that are all the side effects that I had. So its very easy to take and works. Give it a try. Good Luck!!"

Bob S replied: "insurance should help, if not you may want to look into generics from an online pharmacy (the link to the one I use for other meds is below) there seem to be a number different strengths so you will have to do your own comparison shopping once you doctor tells you what is safe for you to try"

price of clomid? does anyone know the cost of clomid? my pre ion benefit will not cover it

shelloutt replied: "I too will like to know this, because mine doesn't either. Please be sure and do some research before deciding to take this drug. I've been doing so for the pass few weeks, and as desperate as I am for a baby I am not sure I want to take this drug. It appears to have a lot of side affects. Good luck with your conception!"

Beth S replied: "It costs about 10 dollars a pill."

How much can I expect to pay for clomid at Costco? My OB/GYN today suggested that I think about starting clomid if it turns out that I am for sure not ovulating. I don't go to Costco for anything, but if it is in my price range then I will definately go as it is not covered on my medical plan. This probably makes a difference, I am in southern Ontario.

hunniebuggs replied: "not sure of the cost in your area... but i was on clomid for awhile and it's not that pricey at least not for the purpose of taking it :>)... i am in south carolina, usa. it's also according to how many you will be taking. my doc 1st gave me 1 a day, then worked my way up to 4 a day. i think i paid around 70.00 when i was taking 4 a day. however, there is a generic brand for clomid. for the generic brand for 4 a day, i think it was around 40.00-50.00. i purchased mine from wal-mart and cvs."

how can I expect to pay for clomid at costco? My OB/GYN today suggested that I think about starting clomid if it turns out that I am for sure not ovulating. I don't go to Costco for anything, but if it is in my price range then I will definately go as it is not covered on my medical plan. This probably makes a difference, I am in southern Ontario. I meant to ask how much can I expect to pay at costco. my dr can perscribe it, but since I am on Ontario Disability, their drug plan doesn't cover fertility meds and that is the only thing clomid is perscribed for. I have to pay for it out of pocket, and since I am on disability I am not made of money.

babysisterchrissy replied: "I don't know the price but call around, Walmart may beat their prices."

mominohio replied: "I paid $50 for the low dose for a month at CVS pharmacy. Walmarts price was higher as was every other place i called. When the dose went up so didn't the price. The largest dose was costing us $150/ month."

Dazey replied: "Can't you get a pre ion for this? I have a friend in Montreal who is taking it. The doctor will prescribe it."

How much is the process of Clomid? I have PCOS. I have been told that I do not ovulate, and the first process in trying to conceive is Clomid. As I understand it... have the consultation, start the meds, and go back for frequent check ups. But I am just wondering about the general price of everything, cuz insurance does not cover infertility problems. Anyone know???

Stacy replied: "My insurance at the time didn't cover "infertility" treatment, but it did cover Clomid because it treated PCOS. PCOS is often a very gray area, and it's usually covered because of the insulin resistance component of it. So, you'll have your copay for the appointments, and the Clomid copay. I think Clomid was under $20 when I did it. I didn't get pregnant using Clomid, but I did get pregnant using Femara, which is proving VERY successful with PCOSers. Primarily, because it's doesn't produce thin lining, hostile CM, and the major mood changes. GL! PCOS sucks!"

Christina replied: "You should ask for an estimate from your doc. The most expensive part will be ultrasounds to see how you're responding to the medication (if your doctor is planning to do that). There's no shame in asking the doctor's office how much they charge for different services especially if insurance won't cover it. It can add up and you don't want any surprises."

Sabra replied: "It's pretty costly. I have 50% coverage for Infertility Treatment through my insurance (Thank God) but it's still cost us about $500 per month for the meds, ultrasounds, doc appointments, etc. So, without it, it probably would cost us close to $1,000. The most expensive were the ultrasounds, which I had to have three this cycle as they were monitoring the follicle growth. Each ultrasound cost us $127 out-of-pocket. It takes some financial planning and preparation but I think it will be worth every penny =)"
